However, we have to come to terms that the speed in which we want to progress and move forward with our careers and lives has altered. COVID has increased stress-levels on everyone, it’s burnt into our existence at the moment and the slower pace of work and life can cause many of us to become more inpatient.
Consider The Long-term Outcome
Work to control what you can and let go of the things you can’t. Really good things take time to develop and build, rushing things doesn’t work long-term, you miss out critical lessons and experiences that by only taking your time and extended periods of development will give you. This is especially true with your career. If you rush into your career, applying for jobs that you’re just not qualified or experienced enough to execute, it can do you, your clients, and your future prospects damage. Critically, it can also leave you disillusioned about things.
Become An Expert
By not rushing, you’ll get a clearer picture of what to do now which will help you get to where you want to be in the future.
We get it, everyone wants to achieve and become successful in their own right, but you’re not going to get it by watching a few tutorial videos on YouTube, or a couple of months of practice, it takes years to master skills, to be comfortable with all the platforms, technology and systems we marketers are afforded. We recommend you build up your expertise, focus on the aspects of marketing you enjoy the most, explore the subject, deconstruct it, and learn its nuances. Master your subject and you’ll become valuable.
